In Portugal there is another object "green" energy. A new photovoltaic Park in Ovar is able to provide electricity for 800 homes.



On his brainchild company Globalwatt spent 4.3 million euros. The photovoltaic Park is located on an area of five hectares. In total there are 7 200 solar panels that can annually produce about 3 GWh of electricity.

This is an example of how to combine competitiveness with sustainable development", — says the Minister of environment and spatial planning, Jorge Moreira da Silva.

The Minister also noted that "green" energy "guarantees the protection of the environment and the creation of new jobs", urging Portuguese businessmen to invest in this area because "there is growing international demand for environmentally friendly products".

It is expected that investment in photovoltaic Park of Ovar will achieve annual sales of electricity of about 0.8 million euros.
