In New Caledonia, territorial formation of France in the Pacific ocean, are going to build a solar farm in the shape of a heart. An unusual plant with a capacity of 2 MW will consist of 7888 solar panels produced in Germany. Its capacity will allow to provide electricity to 750 homes and a small local production of soft drinks.
The project will be called "Heart of New Caledonia". Under the station a plot of 4 Hectares.
The power plant will reduce emissions by two million tons of CO2 during its 25-year lifetime.
Heart of New Caledonia will be a giant message to the world: it's Time to start loving solar energy, said David McCallum, managing Director of Conergy.
