An unusual electric scooter, similar to a laptop

Japanese company Cocoa Motors is going to bring to market a very unusual personal vehicle called WalkCar. In terms of dimensions, the novelty is comparable to a large laptop and even resembles a portable computer in its external part.

On the inside, there are four wheels and an electric drive that receives power from the battery block. To start the movement, it is enough to simply stand on the scooter, the stop is carried out by jumping off it. For turns, it is necessary to transfer body weight from one side to the other.

WalkCar develops a speed of no more than 10 km / h, which is dictated by safety reasons. The power reserve is up to 12 km. It takes about three hours to recharge. The scooter is able to take on board a load of up to 120 kg. It can also push up a slope cart or, say, a wheelchair.

When not in use, the WalkCar can be carried in a bag like a laptop. Fundraising for the novelty is scheduled to begin in October, and on the market it should appear in the spring of 2016.

The price will be about $800. Here's what WalkCar looks like in action:
