Three green concept from Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover has revealed three concepts which the company has implemented all the latest developments of the Alliance in the field of "green" technologies.









The first prototype Concept_e MHEV, based on the Range Rover Evoque. It's a hybrid with three-cylinder diesel motor (89 BHP), 20-horsepower electric motor, lithium-ion batteries and the 9-step "automatic". In this car the motor has a supporting role — performs the role of the starter powers the air conditioning and auxiliary systems. Battery powered system recuperation of braking energy.





A second prototype Concept_e PHEV based Range Rover Sport. This is already a plugin-hybrid with a more powerful 136-horsepower electric motor, which can result in movement of the vehicle, though not for long. The key here is still petrol 296-HP engine. Last prototype – Concept_e BEV – a full electric car with two electric motors one for each axis.





The company noted that all new technologies will be used on production models and will help the Alliance to reduce emissions.
In addition, it became known that Land Rover are working on some new biocomposite plastic that should be a quarter lighter than aluminum and half lighter than steel.
