How to decorate an empty autumn flower garden
No matter how beautiful our flower beds and flower beds are, but alas, the time comes and they bloom. What can you do: fall. Both the entire flower garden and its individual fragments can be empty, depending on what plants it was made of. In any case, bald spots do not add to his beauty. But I want the garden to be picturesque to the coldest, and they are still far away. It is obvious that such places urgently need something to fill. But what? It depends on the specific case. Let's figure it out.
When only fragments are empty
For example, the flower garden consists of perennials and long-flowering annuals, but it included individual curtains of pilots who do not bloom for long. Here everything is simple: we remove faded plants so as not to spoil the view, and fill the remaining places with decor items. For example, garden figures:
These can be decorative balls (by the way, they are easy to make with your own hands from old balls, “plastering” them with concrete and laying out mosaics). You can put one or two containers with flowers. If in summer your gazebo or balcony was decorated with hanging containers, say, with petunias, now they can be removed and put on empty seats in the flower garden.
Well, if these places are too large or the flower bed has bloomed completely, then the tactics are different. We need a complete change of scenery.
When the flower garden is empty
Flowers, even small ones, can be very, very different. You have to take into account their characteristics. And there are two options here, too.
If you can dig.Suppose that only pilots grew in place of large bald spots. So you can dig them up and plant new flowers in their place - also pilots, but the ones that are blooming now. Where can I get them? Walk through the garden. Many people plant, for example, velvets and calendula on beds with cabbage, because these flowers protect it from pests. Summer cabbage has already been removed, and the flowers remain in the beds. So, you can dig them up and move them to empty spaces in the flower garden. They will hardly notice this if you transplant them with a large lump of earth and water them well.
In addition, on the beds, and in general in the garden you can find many "surprises" - flowers that sprouted spontaneously in the most unexpected places. They all need to be excavated and made of them, in fact, a new flower garden. Thus, most of the “gaps” you fill with these transplanted flowers, and 1-2 small bald spots can be occupied by figures or any decorations for flower beds: at least a decorative watering pot to put, for example. And you can also fill them with beautiful dumping, decorative gravel, bark, chips, painted aquarium soil.
The super option that everyone will pay attention to is a broken gzhel or khokhloma. All this beauty sometimes, alas, beats. Where do I put the shrapnel? - The flower garden!
If you can't dig.
This option is more common. For example, only a long-term dolphinium grew in the flower garden, there were no free places. Then it blossomed and had to be cut. There's an empty space you can't touch or we'll damage the roots of the dolphinium.
Or another example: the flower garden is full of bulbs. I can't see where it is, but a lot. And we can't dig here either, or we'll hurt and dig out the bulbs. In such cases, the output is one – the decor, which will allow you to create an original composition on this place.
There are a lot of ways to make the garden look beautiful again. I will recommend absolutely real things that do not require costs. Here’s what you can do in an empty garden:
Container garden
It's simple and straightforward. We take all the containers with flowers that are on the site, even the smallest ones, and put them in a group on the vacant place. It will be beautiful, especially since in the autumn, container flowers separately do not look so profitable, since they are already “tired”. All together, almost like in the summer.
This method is real if you have several container plants, at least 5 pieces. Better 6-8. If they are not, you can dig the same velvets and calendula, plant pots and put in a flowerbed.
In all other cases, landscape miniatures will come to the rescue.
False pondPonds go well with flowers. So on a spacious empty place in the flower garden, you can arrange a pond, but only false, without water - that is, just create an image.
Imitation of a reservoir is easy to make either polycarbonate, or from old tile blue or blue color.
Prunings of polycarbonate could well remain with you after the construction of a greenhouse or canopy. Of course, you need to paint them to create the illusion of water. Take black stained glass paint for this - it shines and does not change the transparency of the material. You can immediately buy black polycarbonate, but this is not cellular polycarbonate, which is used for greenhouses, but another kind. If you find one on sale, buy a small piece, cut it out of a part that is as close in shape and size as possible to the empty area in the flower garden, and lay on this place.
If you use old ceramic tiles, then try to cover the entire fragment with it as much as possible, put it directly on the ground. Usually it takes 8-10 pieces of medium size.
Now we need to make additional "coasts". Place various pebbles around the "pond" and put 3-4 plants in pots - preferably with decorative foliage, and if flowering, then with blue or blue flowers. For example, lobelia would be great. A couple of fern bushes will look effective if you dig them in the forest and plant them in pots. On the very "water surface" put a garden figure - duck, swan, fish. You can throw a handful of blue or black glass pebbles (depending on the color of the “pond”). And if space allows, you can add one floor solar lamp - for example, in the shape of a ball.
Bouquet of lamps
Try making a flower bed lamp. To do this, collect all the solar-powered lights that you have, the advantage is floor models (without "legs"). You will also need to have a sleeves and sleeves.
Fill the empty space with sawdust and “paint” bright islands against this background with colored chips (or the simplest ornament). On these islands, place floor lamps, and in the background you can install several flashlights on the legs. Solar-powered lamps are low-power, individually they give little light. But so, with a bouquet, you can already count on a pronounced effect: both beautiful and really light.
Garden of stonesYou can make a mini-garden of stones. You will need light pebbles or gravel. Sprinkle them with separate islands, and put moss between them - just remove it from the foundations of buildings.
And you can also combine stones and wood saws or even square saws from the timber. It turns out unusual, interesting and quite consistent with Japanese stylization.
It will be useful to supplement the composition with any accessory in Japanese style. If there is nothing suitable, trimmings of the trunk of bamboo or bright wicker balls from the vine are suitable.
"Growing" tileYou will need quite large pieces of broken multi-colored ceramic tiles. Or whole, if any. Turn it at an angle, "rhombus", and stick in rows shallow into the ground.
You need to get a single array, as if the tile “grows” out of the ground. Such a voluminous composition looks even more interesting than dumping.
SundialThe sundial will look great in an empty flower bed.
It is also practical: on sunny days you can easily know what time it is without entering the house. Such watches can be made either on the basis of a lid from a garden barrel, or on the basis of a decorative cart wheel.
Divide the lid into 12 sectors with a pencil and a ruler and paste along these lines segments of thick twisted rope with a glue gun. Put the watch in the right place and attach a vertical triangular “arrow” of plywood. Sprinkle the segments with colored gravel, chips, glass pebbles - any small decorative material that is. But only different so that the neighboring segments are contrasting.
If you have a cartwheel, just put it on the ground, set the “arrow” and fill the segments with all kinds of “beauty”. If there is still room around the clock, you can put 3-4 plants in pots there.
Garden "painting"A little light pebbles or gravel, a beautiful potted plant, a sun lamp and a cheap frame of the right size - that's all you need.
Fill the empty place with a stone, put a pot with a plant. Paint the frame brightly. Place the frame so that the plant is inside the frame, and not necessarily symmetrical. Place a solar lamp in the corner of the frame. Here's the picture! And if the place is large, there will be several plants and several frames - a real garden "vernissage" published
P.S. And remember, just changing our consumption – together we change the world!
