A Friendship That Can't Be: The Most Unlikely Friends in the Fauna World
The stories of these animals prove that true friendship can overcome all differences.
Dog and Raven.
After spending a lot of time together in the same room in their owner’s house, the two animals fell in love. A crow almost always sits on the back of a dog that starts barking if people try to touch his friend. The owner even made a special harness for the bird so that the animals were comfortable walking together!
A deer and a kitten lynx
After a devastating forest fire, firefighters had no cages left for animals saved from the fire - so the deer and lynx were placed in the same room. A few hours later, one of the firefighters noticed that the animals liked each other and they were sitting together all the time.
Cat and duck
This duck and cat have lived together since they were both cubs. The duck hates water and doesn't know it can fly.
Dog and tiger baby
When a wildlife park in China hosted two cubs, a park worker's dog, who often visits them in a pen, took care of the cubs.
Tiger and dog
After he was orphaned, the Fernandez family took him in. He grew up with the family's dog, and now both animals are inseparable.
Hippopotamus and mountain goat
Humphrey's hippopotamus was a pet, but he became too big and was transported to the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve in South Africa. Humphrey was safe there, but he was lonely. Once a dwarf mountain goat sneaked into his pen - since then the animals have become inseparable friends.
iguana and cat
Iguana Sobe and cat Joan were rescued by a woman in New York. Every day, when the iguana is released from the cage, she goes to Joan to play with her and another pet rabbit.
Gorilla and kitten
The gorilla Coco became known for being able to communicate with her trainers using sign language. She once told her coach she wanted a kitten for her birthday. Coach was not surprised, as two of Koko's favorite books were about cats. The zoo staff took the kitten from the shelter, and the gorilla surrounded him with tenderness and care.
Lioness and antelope
A lioness abandoned by her pack decided to take custody of a baby African antelope whose mother she killed. Several times she tried to leave him in the company of other antelopes, but they always ran away, scared of her, so the lioness had to take the baby back under her wing.
Giraffe and ostrich
Animals wander side by side in the Bush Gardens Reserve in Florida. The workers of the reserve noticed an unusual friendship that formed between a giraffe and an ostrich. Both animals love each other so much that they sometimes lie together, curled up in a ball.
P.S. And remember, just by changing our consumption – together we change the world!
