How Japanese Schoolchildren Are Trained Daily to Recycling Resources
In Japan, schoolchildren from the first grade are taught to recycle household waste. Lunch in an educational institution is a part of the educational program where children learn independence and responsibility. The meal allows students not only to satisfy hunger, but also to gain skills of careful attitude to the use of resources. From the first class in Japan, duty officers are appointed, who lay out, clean and report how much food is left.
Today on the menu fish with pear sauce, puree, vegetable soup, milk. It is noteworthy that potatoes and pears were grown by children in the school garden. Lunch for 720 people is prepared by 5 workers in 3:00.
Japanese schoolchildren eat right in the classroom - the next wear robes, masks, disinfect their hands and begin to lay out food. After the meal, children must brush their teeth. Nothing goes missing in Japanese schools. After lunch, paper milk bags are unwrapped, washed and dried. They'll be recycled later. Also, schoolchildren collect dirty dishes in carts and take them to the elevator, wash the floor, sweep the yard and throw out garbage. In Japanese school everything is organized so that from an early age to teach children to work.
