The race for renewable energies has reached a turning point. Globally, annual growth in consumption of renewable sources has become more than the total increase of the use of coal, gas and oil. There is no turning back.
The shift occurred in 2013, when world consumption was added to 143 gigawatts of renewable energy systems. The same ratio for new power plants running on fossil fuels amounted to 141 gigawatts. These data were presented at the summit by Bloomberg New Energy Finance in new York. And this figure, according to experts, by 2030 will be almost five times higher.
