Minielectric Microlino is a charming replica of a replica BMW Isetta
Swiss manufacturer of electric scooters Micro Mobility Systems is engaged in manufacturing of two-wheelers for more than 25 years, demonstrated at the Geneva motor show its first electric car. The Swiss have created a replica of the micro-car, only BMW Isetta, which in 1955 helped the German company from bankruptcy.
Minielectric got the name Microlino. For the first time his images were published in the fall of 2015. Since then, the car was displayed at various events, but the debut in Geneva was his first on the core of the exhibition.
Like her "old" prototype Isetta, Swiss twin city car has an unusual door fixed thereto the steering wheel, which is also the windshield. The body of the new version, its shape reminiscent of a bubble, differs from the original slightly: the designers only changed the shape of the rear wing and increased lights.
In the movement 400-pound Microline-Isetta is driven by an electric motor rated at 20 horsepower (the original had a capacity of 9,5 HP). Stock battery is enough for one hundred kilometers. The car can reach speeds of up to one hundred kilometers per hour.
The first batch Microlino MMS intends to release in late 2017. Cost about ten thousand Euro.
