Original new midsize electric car of the American company Tesla Motors was going to be called Model E, but since Ford has already by this time had patented that name, the model became known to the world as Model 3.
This is to some extent similar model to the 3 Series BMW on the technical characteristics, dimensions and price. Model 3 aims to segment the main customers of the Series 3. For BMW 3 Series cars are the main sources of profit of the company. They occupy approximately one third of the total sales volume of BMW.
