In 2011, one offender sued his former hostages 235 000 $. According to the lawsuit, when a runaway, a suspect in the murder of Jesse Dimmik broke into the house of newlyweds in Kansas in 2009, the couple promised money to hide it from the authorities, who submitted to him on the wanted list.
