Jumper from Uganda





This is not an ant. Moreover, it is not even insect. Here's a hint: count the number of legs.

Eight! What you see in the photo - it's Spider-jumper from Uganda. It masquerades as a kind of ant Tetraponera, since most birds and other predators avoid eating these ants because of the burning poison.





Unlike other spiders, spiders divers hunt for victims (mostly mosquitoes), not by the network, and catch them on the fly, high bouncing.
