Soviet magazine "Crocodile" was the only one in the Soviet satirical magazine, which has been permitted to draw a caricature of the events in the country and the stated policy of its leadership. Thanks to the "Shrek" also promoted the values and achievements of Soviet society, ridiculed and condemned capitalism various elements of society (alcoholics, hacks, "dudes" and others).
