Sauna Canadian beech

Architects of the Canadian firm Partisans realize the original project saunas, consisting entirely of wood. Just note a couple of features. In addition, the project is completely wooden, it is integrated into the rock and is located in a region rich in artesian springs.

The project is called The Grotto. That is, the creators decided to mimic the design of a grotto. The sauna has two ovens. Wall from the rock has several vents, leaving deep into the artesian cave. This will allow to avoid the accumulation of moisture and mold. Was chosen for the construction of cedar, which allows the sauna to be quite energy efficient (fast heating and slow cooling). Surface between the double walls contains aluminum foil, which significantly delays the heat, together with beech timbers.
