Clean the ice of Baikal

That's the ice met us Baikal in Khuzhir - smash and snow. Very unexpectedly :)

Mostly in surface bizarrely frozen chunks of ice

And only after driving about ten kilometers from the town we got on perfectly smooth ice

Ice everywhere ispolosovannaya lots of cracks

Color ice strongly dependent on light and space

A variety of forms of cracks creates an infinite number of subjects, and each year they receive different

I especially liked the frozen into ice bubbles

Mostly very large bubbles

Traces of snow man :)

Another type of bubbles

Loch Ness monster :)

Young ice and vmёrzshaya old icicle

Broken ice hummocks in a very bright blue color

Well, the person for scale

Sometimes pieces of ice washed ashore

And more bubbles

Small pieces of ice are absolutely transparent

Small pieces of ice melted to kruglyashey start sticking together and form a terribly slippery and rugged surface

But as cracks appear after a hot sunny day - there is a lot of small cracks, because of which eventually becomes opaque ice

Compare with normal winter ice

Cracks on the big blue ice floe hummock formed because of warm weather

Larger

Side view

Once I thought I saw all kinds of cracks, Baikal makes new

Ice lace

Ice cracks often offset, so that the edge of the old fractures are displaced along the new crack

And another hummock

Baikal smiley :)
