Preparation. to the upsurge began in late 2013 - the program "remember everything", together with armored museum in Kubinka and administration Verhnemamonsky district of Voronezh region.
Experts scanned the bottom of the river to determine the exact location of the KV-1. Due to the complex bottom topography and weather conditions for the operation of the machine when lifting postponed until spring.
And finally, from May 29 to June 7, 2014 by the National rescue agency KV-1 raised from the bottom and transported to shore.
