The deepest cave in the world

On an expedition to the cave Crow (Abkhazia, Zap.Kavkaz) cavers managed to set a new world record depth - 1680 meters. Ascent continues. Now the deepest caves in the world - Crow, 1680m.

The deepest cave in the world until today was Lamprechtsofen (Austria) - 1632 m. The second place - a cave Mirolda (France) - 1610 m. The third - Cave Jean Bernard - 1602 m. We have in the territory of the former Soviet Union - the deepest so far was a cave Pantyuhinskaya - 1508 m. And Boi Bullock - 1415m in Uzbekistan.

Jean Bernard held the record depth of 20 years until, in February 1998, it is not overtaken Mirolda and then Lamprehsofen. Then it, too, was a sensation - all just talked about it.

The difference was a few meters - at this depth is difficult to verify, as we have stock, at least 50m meters - a lot. Guys do topographic mapping and measuring the depth with the altimeter on the clock CASIO. This is a fairly accurate measurement.
