Recompute - a project with which the author offers to rethink the idea of construction and use of a desktop computer type during their life cycle.

The main and the main feature of the prototype, which is by the way a full-featured PC (an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2 GB RAM) is a body that is strikingly different from the majority of all kinds of species seen by enthusiasts and experts - it is cardboard.

This concept has its advantages. For example, using a similar material used for the body saved for this traditional steel, aluminum, plastic, etc., and with them the time and energy expended in the production of beautiful, expensive housings.

Instead, the body is made of Recompute cheap, easy to replace corrugated cardboard, which is also easy to be recyclable. When assembling such PCs have all four steps of the production process: cutting, pasting, printing and assembly of electronic components (motherboard, process, memory, PSU and HDD).

Recompute can be installed both vertically and horizontally, for any of the connectors it is easy to make the slot (see. Photo with the installation of "flash drives").

At the end of the life cycle of a PC, of course, the processing of all electronics requires due process, but the body is much easier to recycle.

As for the possibility of overheating and fire, then worry hardly worth it. The computer is not fully "plugged" - preserved natural convection of air, and ignition temperature of cardboard - * 258 ° -427 ° C, at the time, as the melting point of the plastic - 120 ° C.
