Manor Poltoratsky Koltsov and quarries

The author writes, frantsouzov:
On Sunday, we suddenly realized that a long time ago did not go anywhere, and at 11 am already traveled from Moscow to Kiev highway.
Our goal was to farm, located in the village of Avchurino and abandoned quarry near the village Koltsovo.

The trip took just half an hour, and here we are near the homestead. Not far away to see the ruins of the church, which decided to go first.

Match closer

From the church, unfortunately, it was only the walls of red brick. I wonder what she looked like before?

Inside, we were hoping to find the remains of frescoes, but they survived under the "new" plaster, painted with several layers of paint.

We go around the church around behind her - a rickety tree.

Remains gardening gazebo

Having Poltoratsky, surprisingly, quite well preserved. The only question is - for how long, as it works on renovating and never expected. Near the door hung a sign "The temple in honor of St. Nicholas." It would be interesting to take a walk along the balcony on the second floor, because wood trim railing and windows seem remained unchanged since that time.

The tower adjoining the manor. Height - about 15 meters. Through the windows we could see the old wrought-iron spiral staircase leading to a small "its balconies" at the top, but to photograph it, unfortunately, it did not happen.

On the side of the building is operating a grocery store and department of "Mail of Russia". Entrance is guarded by two stone lions, painted gold paint. Ten meters from the entrance of the local boys were actively absorbing little white under the "King and the Clown" from mobile phone speakers, and quite loudly discussing some "urban."

We went to the store and asked the saleswoman if you can get inside the building to climb the tower. She said that the castle is now a nightclub, and you can wait until the evening, when the disco starts, coming director of the club, which is necessary to agree on this. Actually, pictured entrance to the club.
A manor house, of course, we were very impressed, as well as the ancient oaks growing next to it.

Since the visit to a local disco was not part of our future plans, we have gone further - look abandoned quarry.
Thanks to Garmin made a circle of the neighboring villages (it was necessary to carefully read the description, through some villages to go). In the end, we came up against the broken road and then went on foot.

Precise locations we did not have GPS on iPhones began blunt, compass - to spin in different directions, and we decided that the shortcut can be a couple of gullies ...

Within an hour, we came up against one of the openings to the ground. Total inputs 7 or 8 pieces, but most of them are filled up even more than this. Go ahead.

Neighboring entrance is quite suitable for infiltration.

In the courtyard of the month of April, so that you can safely climb inside!

Initially, the ceiling height is less than a meter, but then increased to about half.

We pass along the corridor, and soon up against the fork. Go left and get into the hall called "Hata Khan»

There falled plate forms a fairly flat table and stone pillars propped up the ceiling.

We pass a little further - and up against the "Weighed down with the hall," another name on the map - "Windbreak".

I decided to run a bit with a flashlight down the hall.

Again fork. While she was photographing - over the head five times with a loud rustle swept bats.

One of the mice I've seen hanging from the ceiling, but once shone the flashlight at her, she immediately flew away, and I did not even have time to figure out which way. Once - and there is none!
The system is small enough Koltsovskogo quarries, various sources indicate the length from 600 to 1000 meters. Since we were alone, then littered with places not climbed, walked along the main corridor forty minutes and decided to get out to the outside, as yet to get to the car.

A space around the very picturesque, in spite of the ravines, go and enjoy the views. When they reached the village, he met a local resident, who asked us whether there was anyone in the caves and told that to them is a good hard-packed primer, past which we had passed! It seemed to me that the road goes the other way, but it just did a loop and returned to the shore to the quarry! Well, but even walked well!
