Cairn Mound, located in the territory of modern France, is the oldest architectural structures in the world, preserved in one way or another to the present day.
According to the estimates of archaeologists mound construction began in 4850-4250-ies BC. Then there was the second phase of construction dating from 4450-4000 years BC. Thanks detected inside the mound pottery, scientists were able to determine that the facility operated then another, and after a millennium. Until the middle of last century, the mound was in the hands of a private owner, who used it as the basis of the quarry. The second half of the twentieth century to the mound was marked by refining and recovery. In Cairn length is about 72 meters, with a width of 20 meters and a height of about eight.
