Photo Sun made amateur
These amazing photos of the Sun already fly around the Internet. Wired Journalists found out the artist and astrophotographer Alan Friedman, as he did these pictures.
Friedman lives in Buffalo (NY), and removes the sky from his yard. Because of urban light Alan can not shoot galaxies, nebulae and distant star clusters, but the sun is quite accessible object.
Friedman October 20 using a hydrogen-alpha filter that cost him $ 5,000, and will display the outer layers of the solar disk and flash more rapidly, Alan took 90 seconds of video. From it he chose the clearest and best 200 shots, three of which you can see in this post
3 photos via news.most.ua
The other two shot 90-second video, Friedman brought the edge of the solar disk to remove the gas streams, curving along the loop of the magnetic field of the Sun, as well as stains and splashes details of the solar atmosphere.
Alan invert the image, making all the dark spots lighter and vice versa.
Friedman camera shoots in black and white, so he allowed himself some liberties and added some photos in color.
