The oldest shipwreck
In the Baltic Sea near the island of Gotland it was found, probably the oldest in the world, ship wrecks, according to Swedish news agency TT.
The vessel was found using sonar at a depth of about 100 meters. Obtained using sonar images suggest that a ship similar to the Scandinavian SBPC, 28 had a length and a width of 7 meters.
Experts believe that the vessel was used in the period between XII and XIV century. Given the age and location of the wreckage found, scientists do not rule out that they were able to find a legendary ship of King Valdemar IV of Denmark Attergad on which he was returning home after the conquest of the island of Gotland in 1361.
"When I first saw this picture, I had goose bumps on the back ran," - he told a local newspaper Barometern expert on wrecks Eric Bornstrem. If this is the ship of the King of Denmark, he is likely to be the oldest of the found on the seabed and Oken courts.
Valdemar IV Atterdag is a national hero of the Danes. He was highly revered and loved for what he has restored the political integrity of Denmark. In 1361 he is seeking to limit the power of the Hanseatic merchants in the region, attacked the island of Gotland (according to legend, Waldemar hated all the inhabitants of the island, which, as far as he knew, singing derogatory songs about him).
Having conquered the town of Visby, Waldemar rolled before the townspeople three huge beer barrels and ordered three days to fill their gold and silver. Otherwise, the king promised to give the city to plunder his army. The barrels were filled in the first evening. Danes loaded booty to their ships, and went home, but one ship was lost on the road. Until now it was not possible to find it.

"We do not believe that this is the ship that was carrying three barrels of gold, silver and other valuables from Gotland - said the diver and researcher of the Baltic Richard Lundgren. - But in any case this is a very interesting ship, is a sensation. "In the near future, scientists hope to get more information about the vessel, dropping him to the camcorder.
