Day trip: Petrozavodsk - Sortavala (Museum K. Gogoleva - Ruskeala Marble Canyon - Pitkyaranta - Olonets - Holy Trinity Alexander Svirsky Monastery - Petrozavodsk.

Ruskeala
mountain park "Ruskeala" is based on the "Main" careers where the marble for decades to break out of St. Petersburg, I think in particular for the construction of St. Isaac's Cathedral.

Kronides A. Gogoliev - perhaps the only Russian master relief carvings.
In the hall you can see about 100 of his works.

Trinity Monastery
Holy Monastery founded in 1508 by Reverend Alexander Svirsky, a monk of the Valaam Monastery near the mouth of the river Svir.
Monastery integrally formed in XVI - XVII centuries and consists of two separate bands - the Holy Trinity and the Transfiguration.
Here is a description of the monastery, made in 1905: "The most Abode Svirskaya amounted as of two separate convents, at a distance from each other by about 130 yards.
