The rover found on Mars "bricks"

The rover Opportunity has found an unusual structure on the edge of the crater Endeavour resembling bricks stacked in a row. These bright education, according to scientists, are projections of rock containing phyllosilicates - minerals formed in the presence of water conditions.





Founded structures may consist of iron and magnesium rich clay minerals known as smectites. They indicate the presence of past water on Mars are likely to salt, which could contribute to the emergence of life on the planet.
