The gorillas of Rwanda have learned to destroy the trap poachers
Researchers from the Karisoke Research Center were able to observe how two young mountain gorillas broke trap that killed one of their comrades. The incident took place in the forests of Rwanda, about a week ago.

"We first observed this behavior in gorillas," - says Veronica Vecellio Support Fund Dian Fossey Gorilla Organization Karisoke Research Center. - "We know of no other messages that young gorilla can kill traps».
According to employees of the Fund, these actions demonstrate the incredible cognitive abilities (conscious and purposeful action) in gorillas.
The Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, thousands of poachers are arranged traps. Their main aim is the antelope, but often fall into traps and primates. Adult gorillas are able to free yourself from the trap and break it. But it's mostly been seasoned males with silver backs, juveniles are not always able to cope with the trap and have never been seen in their destruction.
