The court convicted aviadeboshira Kabalova

Moscow Regional Court convicted the Saratov businessman Sergei Kabalova accused of trying to hijack the plane, en route from Moscow to Hurghada in January last year, and sentenced him to 3.5 years in a penal colony.

Earlier, the jury recognized Kabalova guilty. By law, the court could not accept the verdict of the college and to acquit.

The prosecution demanded to sentence Kabalova to 8 years and 6 months imprisonment. The state prosecution believes that Kabalova correction is possible only in isolation from society in the colony.

Businessman accused of intentionally causing bodily harm of hooliganism (Article 115 Part 2 of the Criminal Code) and attempted hijacking of air transport with the use of violence dangerous to life and health (Article 30 Part 3 - Part 2 st.211 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, January 11, 2013 on board the aircraft of airline "Kogalymavia" flying from Moscow to Hurghada, Russian bondage, who was intoxicated, struck flight attendant injuries and foul language. He was charged in absentia. Later Cabal was the international wanted list and arrested on March 7 in the Grodno region of Belarus.

The incident aboard the plane flying from Moscow to Hurghada, has received considerable attention after his video appeared on the Internet, and later was featured in the news.
