Tu-144 №05-1, tail number 77107, made its first flight on August 20, 1975
The plane was supposed to be a serial model for passenger transport. By October 1976, the aircraft was modified to the type design. After the factory tests and tests for various programs 77107 was introduced in 1977 as an integrated facility for joint state tests. During these aircraft carried out 180 flights for a total of 357 hours, including 135 hours - at supersonic speed. Mainly on the plane performs typical flight with access to the speed limit (up to M = 2, 35), evaluated stability and control when the maximum permissible alignment, about vodilas control assessment takeoff and landing characteristics (field surgery), were carried out at a distance flights.
The results of these tests indicated that the performance characteristics of the aircraft, except for the practical flight range with a given number of passengers, take-off weight corresponding to the specified on the Tu-144 requirements (for trial received practical range at supersonic speed at takeoff weight of 195 tons with payload 15 tons of 3080 km, with 7 tons - 3,600 km.
In 1985 the aircraft was presented to the Kazan Aviation Institute. March 29 V.N.Matveeva surpassed crew of the Tu-144 (aboard the USSR-77107) in Kazan, and the aircraft was established on campus.
