Note - cast off the monument May 21, 1817 in St. Petersburg, where it was made in Moscow. Commemorative inscription on the pedestal reads - "Citizen Minin and Prince Pozharsky
Thanks ROSSІYA. LѢTA 1818 ". Originally the monument was in the middle of Red Square, opposite the entrance to the Upper Trading Rows (on the site now GUM), but in 1931 it was considered a hindrance to the demonstrations and parades of equipment and moved to St. Basil's Cathedral.
