Dallol - volcanic crater in the Danakil rift, to the north-east of Al Eartha Range in Ethiopia. These landscapes were formed as a result of falling basaltic magma in the salt mines and the subsequent hydrothermal activity. Here eruptions occur periodically, the latter was recorded in 1926. These are the lowest in the world craters located 45 meters below sea level.
