Audi does not want to become a & laquo; green brand & raquo;



As the acknowledged head of Audi, Rupert Stadler, the German carmaker did not going to position itself as a friend of the environment. However, work on the creation of eco-friendly vehicles, following a general fashion, the manufacturer will continue. It was recently announced that beginning in 2012, the production of electric e-tron, based at the R8. This car made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and has a really impressive performance: four motor power of 230 kW (313 l / s) with a torque of 4500 Nm can accelerate the car up to a hundred in just 4 and 8 seconds. But build such "green" cars only about 1,000. And the price they will, as promised, above the "level of R8ยป. Apparently, electric cars are not considered in the Audi as a promising direction, and engaged them in any case.
