Watchmaker Frederick Zhuveno

watchmaker Frederic Zhuveno, which we described in the January article on Salon of Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, decided to support the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Hours of Solar Deity collection received Japanese names. Thus, the model of polished stainless steel (or titanium) was named in honor of Amaterasu the Japanese sun goddess. A female model with diamonds and a floral motif on the dial now is called Suryia. But this is from the Hindu mythology. Model, which was awarded the Grand Prix at the SIHH (pictured center), still is called Helios. Names of relatives left homeless residents will not be warmer. Real assistance should have a charity auction, which Zhuveno intends to hold in the near future.
