Ganve

Unique floating village on the lake Nuku of Benin is located in the southwestern part of it and there is in this format already about five centuries. Most likely, it is the largest settlement on the water in Africa.

All the houses, shops, snack bars and other necessary facilities are built on wooden stilts, and rise above the water. There's even a floating market.





The main income of the local people - the tourist industry and fishing. In some households, there is little livestock. Ganve is very popular among tourists.
