Polish painter March Klonowski creates lifelike animal sculptures of colored shards of broken glass. Her performances are directly related to the historical paintings. Animals are a continuation of a three-dimensional plot of the famous paintings. That's minor characters, depicted in the background, Klonowski inspired the creation of glass figurines. And every animal is made in its full size.
From a distance, each animal seems soft and fluffy, and only upon closer inspection, viewers realize that the sculpture is formed from solid pieces of glass. The artist chooses a simple color palette for each creature. Take the form of glass with metal bases.
In his collection Klonowski introduced a wide variety of animals, including a lemur, rabbit, lynx, fox, goat, as well as several types of dogs.
She says: I create performances that show the viewer a new world. The combination of paintings with my animals creates the impression of a theatrical production, which merge different measurements. This clash of realities should make us think about the uncertainty of life.
