Family photo Apollo astronauts



This is a little known fact, but for the past 40 years on the Moon is a family picture. With Apollo astronaut Charles Duke 16 left on earth satellite not only their mark, but also a picture of his semi.

April 23, 1972, astronauts Charlie Duke and John Young embarked on a mission to study the lunar highlands Descartes on Lunokhod. Before the astronauts went to the rover to the first geological stop - Plum crater, lunar module pilot on the Moon Duke left his photo with his wife and two sons, Thomas and Charles, sitting on a bench. Photos and remains there to this day.

On the reverse side of the photo is signed: "This family of Duke astronaut from Earth. We landed on the moon in April 1972 ".
