Japan will build ice wall

leak of radioactive water from nuclear power plants, "Fukushima-1" took so rampant that the Department of Nuclear Supervision described the situation as critical. It is estimated that every day in the ocean gets about 300 tons of water containing radioactive particles. To prevent leakage, the Japanese experts are considering several projects, including the creation of the ice walls around the port technical plant "Fukushima-1" .

Underground ice wall will have a length of about 1, 4 km. Japanese engineers have offered to dig vertically in the ground to a depth of 20-40 m pipe at a distance of 1 m from each other. They planned to pump coolant. As conceived by the experts, the wall will create a kind of permafrost barrier that will prevent the flow of groundwater. According to the Kajima, construction of the wall can be completed in mid-2015. Despite its simplicity, this project will be quite expensive, consider the Japanese experts.
