Puppet experiment
In 1940, doctor, writer and expert in the field of arts Kenneth Clarke and his wife Mamie had quite an unusual experiment. They showed black children the exact same doll, differing only in color of the skin and offer you one of them. Then they asked the children questions. The most interesting was the fact that the children always chose the white doll as well.
Questions were asked in the following order:
"Show me the doll that you like or that you'd like to play»
"Show me the doll that is" good & quot;
"Show me the doll that is" bad & quot;
"Show me the doll that looks like a" white kid "
"Show me the doll that looks like a" colored baby »
"Show me the doll that looks like you».
Black children are always white-skinned doll sweeter, and it wanted to play with her.
In 2006, the experiment was repeated, and what's interesting - got exactly the same result.
