Dussehra - Feast of good over evil
Across India this festival is called differently. However, the essence remains the same. Good always triumphs over evil.
According to legend, on the tenth day of the god Rama killed Ravana - the demon-king. By this action, Rama saved from imminent death his wife Sita. On this day celebrating Ravana effigies made his giant brother and son Kumbhkarna Mehgnata, into which is placed firecrackers, firecrackers and fireworks.
Actors dress up as Rama, his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, and then simulates the battle and Rama let the enemy fire arrow. Naturally noise and fanfare demon burns.
