A new type of long-eared Tetrigidae (5 photos)

In the mountains of Tanzania, scientists have discovered so far unknown to science mammal. Being, received the Latin name Rhynochocyon udzungwensis, was a new kind of long-eared Tetrigidae.

As reported in the scientific journal Journal of Zoology, an animal the size of a cat that looks like a cross between an anteater and a shrew. He has a gray muzzle, long and flexible nose and large amber body.

Animal feeds on insects differs from the known science of long-eared Tetrigidae its color and body length. "This is one of the most exciting discoveries of my career," - says Galen Rathbun of the California Academy of Sciences.
