Bus with Russian tourists in Antalya collapsed with a 15-meter bridge. A dozen Russians died on the spot, more than 20 were injured.






The incident occurred around 5:30 Tuesday local time (06.30 MSK) in Antalya. The bus, which housed 41 people (39 Russian tourists and two Turkish citizen), followed in Pamukkale.



The bus left the city of Alanya at 4.00 local time (5.00 MSK). Two hours later, the bus stopped by the regulations on technical park, after which he went to the side of Pamukkale. After 3 kilometers tourists approached the Aksu River.



Driving across the bridge over the river, bus, for no apparent reason while, broke the fence and fell 15 meters high into the abyss.



The victims of the accident were at least 15 Russians, 24 more were injured varying degrees of severity and taken to the nearby hospital.



The bus had five children, but none of them is lost.



According to rescuers, to extract the wounded from the crumpled cabin, they had to cut it.



According to preliminary information, the driver could fall asleep at the wheel. However, officially this version in Turkish law enforcement agencies have not yet confirmed.



The tourists were from different cities, including Kaliningrad, Kursk, Samara, Rostov, Kazan, Kemerovo, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Barnaul, Syktyvkar.



Russian President Dmitry Medvedev expressed his condolences on the death of Russian tourists in Antalya, Turkey.
