Olga Pivtorak, who became a symbol of love and care for 23 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren
Imagine: a great-grandmother with a great-grandson in one photo. Unfortunately, not everyone is destined to take such a picture. But imagine that you have not one great-grandchild, but 63. That’s how much the main character of today’s history has. Olga Pivtorak from Vinnytsia region, Ukraine, recently celebrated its centenary. About the long-lived woman and her fate today we will tell in more detail.
On the holiday to Olga Omelyanovna came not only relatives, but also honorary guests, as well as journalists. For example, First Deputy Director of the Department of Social Policy of Vinnytsia City Council Natalia Palamarchuk presented the centenarian with a certificate of honor and a monetary award. The fact is that all residents of the regional center who celebrated their 100th anniversary receive a lifetime monthly payment.
Natalia noted that the anniversary of Olga Pivtorak is not just a family holiday. This is an event that shows how important it is to respect elders, maintain family comfort and support each other. Olga Omelyanovna’s life has become a symbol of the fact that love and care can give joy and inspiration for many years.
A brief biography of Olga Pivtorak The recent birthday girl was born in 1924 in the Tulchinsky district of Vinnytsia region. She was only eight years old when she and her sister were orphaned. But the girls were able to survive the Holodomor of 1932-1933, and eventually the Second World War.
From 1944 to 1951, Olga Pivtorak worked as a plaster in a construction office. She helped rebuild the post-war Donbas. As for Vinnytsia, the birthday girl moved here already being a pensioner.
On the day of her 100th anniversary, Olga Omelyanovna boasts a huge family. She has four children, whom she was able to raise worthy people. Unfortunately, one of my sons has already left this world. But next to the grandmother 23 grandchildren and 63 great-great-grandchildren. They all respect and love their grandmother, and also draw inspiration, focusing on the life path of the older relative.
Of course, on such a day was not without various stories associated with Olga Omelyanovna. For example, one story was shared by Evelina Melnik - one of the eldest great-granddaughters of the birthday girl. It turned out that the woman wears a watch with Roman numerals thanks to the anniversary.
Today, in the time of gadgets and digitalization, few people wear a classic wristwatch. But it was her great-grandmother who once taught Evelina not only to understand Roman numerals, but also to use an ordinary watch. The woman long and patiently explained to the little great-granddaughter how the shooters walk and what time they show.

It is clear that such stories were told that day. But they were left behind. We sincerely wish Olga Omelyanovna health. And also to the ground bow to the honored woman, who on his own experience shows how it is to be a great mother, caring grandmother and wise great-grandmother. I would like Olga Pivtorak to be able to transfer at least a part of her life experience to her first great-great-granddaughter or great-great-granddaughter.
