Is it worth it this year to arrange a prom ball according to Komarovsky
This year, of course, you will not accelerate much, you have to adapt to reality. We are used to wearing masks, working remotely, ordering food over the Internet. I had to forget about going to restaurants, movies, and even such a pleasant activity as shopping was left out. And here's another topic. prom.
Editorial "Site" I think it’s better not to do it at all. You can treat what is happening as you like, but if there is a possibility of risk avoiding, then you should not risk it. Another opinion is shared by our respected Dr. Komarovsky.
Hand on heart, it makes sense to admit that some citizens are waiting for the decision of officials. In fact, in the midst of a pandemic, any mass gathering carries the risk of infection. Therefore, there are two options - to allow and prohibit. Let's say officials give the go-ahead.
You can imagine what will happen – you will blame the authorities if someone becomes infected. Like, you allowed it! You don’t have to take responsibility, dear friends. The first thing to understand is personal responsibility for decisions. You decide what to do.
Let’s say that in your country the authorities do not prohibit, but do not approve. They put the responsibility on you. Maybe I would have made that decision. In the twenty-first century, people should know the value of their health and understand what depends on them.
Every person – and a graduate is already, in fact, an adult who is aware of his actions – who decides to go to the prom, in principle, should understand that he himself risks little. The main degree of risk depends on whether there are people at risk in his environment.
If you have grandparents at home, you can easily destroy them by bringing the coronavirus home. If they live in the country and you can sit for 14 days after graduation, then please go.
In addition, the risk of infection depends on the conditions in which the celebration is held. If it is an unventilated room, then the risk certainly increases. Especially if there are a lot of people in the school hall. I emphasize that the young will endure everything easily, but the elderly, who may be at the holiday, risk their lives.
My main advice: if you decide to do, there should be no one at risk at the holiday, the graduation itself is best spent in the open air. No closed restaurants and assembly halls, only open areas.
So, the most important thing. Don’t wait for the president’s permission, but take responsibility. Eliminate all possible reasons to avoid endangering people at risk and get out! But only if it is legally permissible.”
The point of view of Dr. Komarovsky in this case is not close to us. We are against any events where there is a risk of meeting with the coronavirus, and even more so to be ill, even in a mild form. However, each person decides for himself how to deal with his safety and, ultimately, with life.
