How to fix a shower waterer and hose without the help of a plumber

A flexible shower watering hose is an object that we rarely pay attention to. But everything changes when it starts to leak. At first, the water barely oozes through the braid, and soon it already flows in a stream.

And this happens according to the law of meanness at the very moment when there is no possibility to run to the store for a new one. "What do you do?" you ask. Take the passages, screwdriver, sharp knife and proceed to repair!

I will immediately clarify that there is a sense in such repairs if the internal flexible hose is damaged near the edge (as often happens). If the leak is in the middle, then the hose is easier to change for a new one.

So unscrew the mixer hose. Then disconnect the hose and the watering pot. Clogged with water stone watering can be cleaned at the same time. It'll be like new.

Put the nut down the hose. Take off the pad. At the edge of the hose is a decorative holder, behind it a plastic gasket and a metal or plastic sleeve.

Carefully insert the knife between the bushing and the gasket. Lead him around to widen the gap. Then insert a flat screwdriver with a thin end into the formed lumen.

Shaking the screwdriver, push the bushing so that you can take it with your fingers. Pull the sleeve and stretch (as far as possible) the hose attached to the sleeve. Examine him and find the cut.

Remove just below the hole and cut off the damaged area. Free the brass sleeve from the remnants of the damaged hose.

Put it in the loose end of the hose. Perhaps the metal will have to be heated a little with a lighter. Once cooled, the sleeve will firmly sit in place.

Since the hose has become shorter, you need to remove several links of metal braiding. Using a screwdriver, separate the decorative element from the gasket. Move it to release the tip of the braid.

Cut off the extra part of the braid so as not to damage the flexible hose. Pull the braid up and hide its tip under the decorative element.

Keep the sleeve tight. If she's a little late, no problem! It's easy to fix. Put the nut back in place and tie the waterer to it. As she twists, she pushes the sleeve into place.

That's it! Nothing complicated, and the shower hose is new. It remains only to attach it to the mixer. Run to the store or call a plumber is no longer necessary. Good repair, and let the water always flow where it is needed!
