German scientists have created the world's largest "artificial sun"

Production of highly efficient fuel is so often accompanied by strong pollution of the atmosphere that it is time to reflect "and not do more harm than good, this energy source brings?". As transfers English edition The Guardian, a group of scientists from Germany managed to build "the world's largest artificial sun", is a very powerful light source, with which it will be possible to produce environmentally friendly fuel.

At this stage the project is in the development stage and conducted at the Aerospace center in Germany. Installation "artificial sun" is composed of 149 searchlights, the total intensity of which is 10 000 times more natural light, while the direction of all the lamps at one point the temperature of the beam will be 3500 degrees Celsius.

According to the centre's Director, Bernard Hoffschmidt,

"If you walked into the room where is included this lamp – you would be burned. The purpose of our experiment is to develop the most optimal method of obtaining and processing such volumes of solar energy, which will be sufficient for the production of hydrogen fuel".

Built in Germany "artificial sun" can start to produce energy, not polluting the atmosphere, but is extremely energy intensive and consumes 4 hours the amount of electricity equivalent to the fact that a person would spend in a year. From the point of view of ecology, the use of hydrogen as a raw material is extremely beneficial. Joint use of energy, artificial and "real" Sun, the researchers believe that in the future will be able to solve the issue. published

P. S. And remember, only by changing their consumption — together we change the world! ©
