Inspiring lesson from Rosa: Never put off your life for later.

Milton Erickson University. The first day of the school year, my first class, where I will be a teacher. Our professor, Merlin Atkinson, rector, gave his first opening speech: This year, we have a new student. You will find it very interesting and the view unusual, she said.

I started looking for him (an unusual student). Looking around, I felt someone gently touch me, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I'm here..." the face of the carefully groomed, wrinkled old lady smiled at me. "I'm Rosa," she said. My name is Rosa, handsome... I'm 87. Can you give me a hug because we met? she said. I laughed and said, "Of course!" Come on, give me a hug. I hugged her tight. “You’re so young and innocent, why did you come to teach at that age?”

I joked, replying with a laugh: "I came here to find a bride." I will marry her, she will have several children. When I retire, I can afford to go on a world tour.

After the first lesson, we went to the dining room where we drank milk chocolate. We immediately became friends. The next day and the next three months, while I was reading my course, we were always in the dining room together. She was so smart and experienced that listening to her made me feel like I could learn a lot from her, even though she was a student of my course.

Rose was a goddess at university for a semester. Wherever she was, there were so many friends around her. She liked to dress well. She liked to attract the attention of other students. Rosa lived a full life as a student. Probably even brighter and fuller than most students lived.

At the end of the semester, we invited Rose to the Christmas Ball to give a speech. She was preparing as a big talk, wrote a few sheets of the text of the speech.

Rose went up to the podium of the stage with this stack of sheets, and threw these sheets on the floor. The affair was ruined. She approached the microphone a little confused. . .

"How embarrassing, isn't it? I'm sorry... Before coming here, I felt a lot of excitement, which led me to take a double martini. You can see the results. Even now, if I collect these sheets, I can't put them in order. I'll tell you what's in my head right now, and there's not much there. After all, we all came here to rest, didn't we?

Everyone laughed, she took a sip of water and started talking, holding a glass in her hand:

“We have fun because we don’t feel old, we can afford to play, have fun.I can't stop life, but I know one secret. We get older because we stop playing and visiting.. To stay young, to be happy and successful, you need to know only four secrets.

Every day I laugh and find humor in my life. You have to have a dream, a big dream, an absolute dream. Did you know that if you lose your dreams, you will die? Many of the people who walk around us are actually dead and don’t even know it. . .

As we age, there is a huge difference between age and old age. If you don't do anything, if you're 19 years old, and you think that if you sleep a year doing nothing, and that you have a century ahead of you and you're only 20, your whole life can go to waste.

I'm only 87, and I can't afford not to do anything for a year. I don't know if I'll be 88. We are one year older each year. No special skills or knowledge are needed to understand this. However, to grow for more than a year, you have to do something. Find opportunities to develop yourself. You have to use it every day. Never put off until later what you can do today.

We often feel sorry for the elderly, but we don't regret what we don't do, maybe other than those who fear death. Don't allow yourself to do nothing.. ?

Tony Robbins: Remember that all actions have consequences.8 Reasons Why You Should Read Books

She passed away at the end of the school year, which began a few years ago. It was a break in the fight for survival. She left... with a college degree. A week after graduating from university, she died peacefully in her sleep. More than two thousand students attended the funeral.

“Never put off until later what you can do today.”

We all wanted to be worthy of the memory of this wonderful woman. Learning to live like Rosa should actually be a must-see course at all universities around the world: “Do what you can do now, then it may be late!”
