Taj Mahal

In the North of India, on the banks of the river Jaina is a magnificent wonder of the world. The Taj Mahal is not a temple and not a Palace, is the tomb of that mighty ruler built for his wife.

A monument of pure love between a man and a woman. Ruler named Shah Jahan, he was the fifth of the Mughal dynasty that created the Empire, which occupied most part of India. Many thousands of workers labored day and night, erecting the Taj Mahal. From all corners of the country gathered the best masters, their descendants today are engaged in a family craft in the poor neighborhoods of Agra. Oddly enough, but the name of the architect who created the Taj Mahal – real wonder of the world – remains a mystery.

Although many believe that the main role in the design of the mausoleum was played by the Shah Jahan. Now, to get to the Taj Mahal you need to go through the many small and dusty streets of Agra, which has changed little over the past century, but entered the walls surrounding the mausoleum, you find yourself in a completely different world. The height of the red gate – the main entrance to the Taj Mahal 30 meters, their massive doors made of eight different metals.

For red gate see is an oasis in the desert gardens of the Taj Mahal. Floral motifs are continued in the great arch of the mausoleum. In the world of heat and dust the flowers and the coolness of flowing water, are perceived as a promise of Paradise.
