Mile-High Tower
Mile-High Tower, judging by the sketches, there will be little to resemble a concrete box "classic" skyscraper. It will be a 500-storey building, somewhat similar to a typical "tower of magic" from fairy tales and fantasy movies. However, for stability I had to add a couple of "small" turrets высотой250 meters on each side and connect them by bridges with the main tower.
Some of the problems that killed the project a one-mile skyscraper in Illinois, still remain unsolved. To create a lift capable of up to a mile on the current level of technology is impossible, so that the Kingdom Tower is planned to create a complex system of elevators. To get to the upper floors, will have to change at least three times.
Development of a system of depreciation, is able to keep the building from fluctuations in the primary. What it will be is hard to say. Such a system is necessary to stabilize the building, because Saudi Arabia is in a zone of high seismic activity. Maybe this will be a giant spring or hydraulic mechanism that will make the construction move in the opposite direction as soon as the earthquake happens. But what will they do in case of fire, people on the upper floors is unclear. Helicopters will not help, as the roof simply has no grounds to their landing, and to raise on the ropes a couple of thousand people is really useless.
The result should be a building from the upper floors where you can admire the African coast, being just over B200 kilometers.
