Monaco: glamor and glitter

The Principality of Monaco — an example of good taste and refined vitality. Local interests — entirely Grand: yachts, casinos and the "Formula-1" plus the Royal family as the main attraction. Walk the whole country in just 56 minutes. The country's name comes from the Greek "monoikos" — "the hermit". The Principality of Monaco is a city consisting of four merged areas: Monaco-Ville, Monte Carlo, Fontvieille and La Condamine.

Monaco-Ville or "Old town" is located in the heart of the Principality, on a rock at Cape St. Antoine. The main feature of this area — there are forbidden to settle foreigners. Main attractions: the Palace of the family of Grimaldi — official residence of the ruling family, the Cathedral, 1875, in which is buried an American actress and wife of Prince Rainier III grace Kelly, Napoleon Museum and the Historic archive of the Princely Palace, the Palace square, where every day is a March of the honour guard, a chapel Chapelle de La Misericordia (1635 g); the gardens of St. Martin and Fort Antoine (now an outdoor theatre).

It is also interesting to visit the Museum of Old Monaco, the Oceanographic Museum with an underground aquarium and a wax Museum dedicated to the history of the Grimaldi dynasty from the late 13th century to the present day. Monte Carlo — the center of night life and gambling. The district center — Casino du Monte Carlo, the first casino in Europe and one of the oldest gambling establishments in the world. No less interesting is the national Park of the dolls, Church. Charles and a Japanese garden with an area of 7000 sq. m.
