Hang Nga Guest House

The Hang Nga Hotel is a building created by the daughter of the former President of Vietnam, who studied as an architect in Moscow. The house does not comply with any rules and concepts. Everything is round, rectangular, now with windows, then without windows.

The structure resembles a giant tree, among the tangled branches of which there are animals, mushrooms, gagant caves, a giant web, one naked female statue (a rarity in Vietnam), a concrete giraffe (with a tea room built inside), etc. The architect discarded all canons - no straight lines or rectangles. All bends, weaves, mazes. . .

The creator of the gallery, Ms. Dang Viet Nga (call her “Hang Nga”), was born in Hanoi and lived in Moscow for 14 years, where she defended her PhD in architecture. She wears dresses exactly in the fashion of hippies of the 1960s, swears angrily and there is something mysterious around her.

Vtnam residents do not share the delights of tourists regarding the work of Hang Nga - for them it is too pretentious and non-standard. And as a hotel is expensive - $ 100 per day per person. The author of the project, Hang Nga, constantly lives in his brainchild. Hang Nga Hotel and Art Gallery are about 1 km southwest of Xuan Huong Lake.
