Scientists took into account whether or not the Respondent is happy and how long time in a good mood. The results of the survey were evaluated on a point system.





It turned out that 70-year-old study participants scored 7.4 points out of a possible ten, 80-year 8.2 percent, and 90-year-old received 8.8 points. Moreover, in the age group 90 years and older women were at one point happier than men.

"Men in more dependent on public evaluation of their activities than women, which they find it difficult to get used to reduced social activity in old age," explained the researchers.





Also, experts have noticed that the older a person is, the easier it is to control your mood and be more positive in difficult situations. However, scientists have provided the results of a survey regarding sadness and despondency: 70-year-old respondents have received 3.2 points out of ten, 80-year-old is 2.7, and 90-year-old is 2.3.
