Religion is beneficial to mental and physical health
The study, which was conducted at the University of Missouri (USA) showed that religious people are much calmer and relaxed than atheists and agnostics. Scientists have found that Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Jews and Buddhists recovering from a serious diseases is much easier and faster than non-believers. The higher the level of spiritual development of the patient and his involvement in religious activities, the lower his anxiety. If you take into consideration that emotional stability is one of the conditions of recovery after illness, believers are in a better position than atheists.
